Synethetic Wig

3 Wigs Under $30

Synthetic Wigs

I love making my own wigs but sometimes I cant afford the good stuff aka virgin hair. So I’ve opted out for something more budget friendly, synethic hair. Not only is synthetic hair super inexpensive but it’s also pretty good quality for the price. Now I do make my own wigs (none of these wigs come already put together) but if your into making your own wigs or just starting out these are some great options.

Outre- Dominican Blowout Straight in the color 1B it comes with 5 pieces 18″, 20″, 20″, 22″ as well as a 18″ closure for $21.99 handles up to 400 degree heat, can be shampooed and condition. Usually last me about 2 months. It really mimics coarse hair texture in its natural state but once flat iron it’s looks more like a silk press on natural hair. For the price the quality is great! Of course you can’t expect it to last as long as virgin hair, but if you’re on a budget and looking for good quality hair then you can’t go wrong with this texture.

I also have the same hair just in a different color. Outre- Dominican Blowout Straight in the color DRB30/1. The same goes for this hair. It’s 5 pieces 18″20″, 20″, 22″ as well as a 18″ closure for  $23.99.

They also come in a variety of other colors. You can check out your local beauty supply store or go Sistawigs where they have them on sale for $16.99 which is a great deal!

  • Inexpensive
  • Good quality
  • Only need one pack
  • Can be straightened
  • Can handle heat up to 400 degrees
  • Easy to maintain

  • Doesn’t curl well
  • Only last about 6-8 weeks

Black Essence- In the color Ombre Black/Green 16 inches for $15.99 a pack. I use two packs plus my own closure to achieve this look. This hair is great for beginners or if you’re just looking to try something new and don’t want to spend a lot of money. To be honest the hair only last about 4-5 weeks with good maintenance. Usually when the hair starts to look a little dry on the ends I just cut the ends off , but this time i just decided to go for a bob instead. Also It does tend to shed after lots of wear.

After about a good month you will notice the hair starting to frizz up at the bottom which is pretty normal for synthetic hair so don’t be alarmed. The only place I’ve been able to find this hair is at my local beauty supply store unfortunately.

  • Easy to maintain
  • Great color selections
  • Inexpensive

  • Sheds
  • Only last 4-6 weeks
