So it’s officially summer YAY! The sun is shining, the wind is blowing and everything just feels good, however you can’t forget about your skin. Summer for me means more break outs and oily skin sigh. If you have combination skin and sensitive skin then just know I feel your pain. These are a few products that I use in the morning to keep those nasty little “demons” otherwise known as pimples off my face.
The MOST important thing that every woman (and man) should be taking are vitamins. I personally hate taking them, but they really do help with my overall appearance and I feel better knowing that I’m taking care of my body. I use the One a Day Women vitamins at the moment, but I prefer the multivitamins GNC offers. I recommend the Be-Wholesome multivitamins found here it helps with hair, skin and nails as well as overall health.
Most mornings I’ll go straight to my Noxzema Deep Cleansing Cream. I’ve been using Noxzema for about two years now and it still works like a charm. If you haven’t tried it I strongly suggest you do. Usually I leave this on for about 10-20 minutes. I call it my go-to “pimple destroyer” and it leaves my face feeling nice and tingly.
Now on mornings when I’ve had a long night of partying and I forget to take off my makeup (don’t judge me, you do it too haha) I use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. This stuff is like crack. After about 15 minutes I can literally feel my face getting tighter and the dirt getting sucked out. I was skeptical about this mask at first but I see what all the hype was about.
After I’ve gotten all of the dirt and oil off of my face I use an astringent. The one I use is actually from Dollar General it’s called the Deep Cleaning Astringent for Sensitive Skin. I use this with a cotton pad just to make sure I’ve gotten all of the excess dirt and oil off my skin and to tighten my pores. This stuff works great, I wasn’t to sure about it at first but it definitely gets the job done.
Last but not least to get back some of the moisture I lost while cleansing my skin, I use the Ponds dry skin cream. Although it is intended for people with dry skin, I find that it works wonders for my combination skin. I only use a pea size amount and it doesn’t leave my skin looking greasy.
One more thing I forgot to mention in the photos above is sunscreen. It is summer and the sun is shining brighter than ever and you need to have a protective layer on your skin. I recommend getting a sunscreen or moisturizer with sunscreen in it with an SPF between 30 & 45. You don’t have time to be getting wrinkles hunny! Protect your skin.
Let me know what your go-to morning skin care routine is. I’m always looking for new products to try.
Hope you guys enjoyed! See ya soon!
