DIY: Recycling Old Sweatpants

Hey guys, so I’m back for the second day in a row YAY! *fist pump*

I’ve been seeing sites like Forever 21 and Asos selling cuffed sweatpants shorts for $10-20. So I thought why buy them when I can make them. Duh I’m a genius I know! So I had an old pair of sweat pants that I bought from the thrift store for less than $5 and decided to make them into some cute little shorts. It literally took about 10 mins and it was super easy.

So lets get started!

What you will need:
An old pair of sweatpants
Sharp scissors

Step 1: Lay your sweatpants out on a flat surface

Step 2: Decide how long or short you want them. Starting at the inner thigh area begin cutting at an angle (Example: Left leg you would cut right to left, Right leg you would cut left to right.)

Step 3. Repeat same step with right leg

They should look a little something like this when your done with Step 1-4

Step 5: Begin rolling up each pant leg until you get it to the length you want. *You can also sew the cuffed part if you want them to stay in place. I chose not to sew mine and they stayed cuffed.

Now you’re all done! How easy was that? And I just saved you some money girl! lol

I hope you enjoyed this easy little DIY and look forward to see more DIY’s on my blog in the future!

See ya next time!
