I’m lazy when it comes to taking care of my skin, but lately I’ve been obsessing over skincare. No more washing my face only once a day or sleeping in my makeup. I have finally changed my ways, and my skin has never looked better!
For those of you who are wondering I have combination skin, oily on the forehead, nose and chin and dry everywhere else..
For my day to day skincare routine these are the four that I tend to reach for and so far they have not disappointed.
Ive never heard of the Happy Bath Facial Yogurt Foam until my sister came home from Korea and gave it to me to try. What it’s supposed to to do is actually foam up as you apply it to your face and when I first tried it I used WAYYYY to much.
Seriously a little goes a LONG way! I use this with a microfiber washcloth and using small circular motions I apply it all over my face until it starts to foam up.
The e.l.f Exfoliating Scrub is very gentle, like you could use it everyday. Almost too gentle for my liking, however it does get the job done. I use this once maybe twice a week when I feel like my skin needs it.
When I don’t use this I use my homemade oatmeal and brown sugar scrub which I will make a post about later.
This is my person fav, the e.l.f Daily Hydration Mosturizer it literally does what it says. It hydrates the skin without leaving a sticky or greasy feeling. I use this in the morning after I wash my face and at night to make sure my skin is hydrated while I sleep.
I recently stumbled across the Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil Elimating Astrigent. This has been life changing for my skin. I don’t normally breakout but lately my skin has been freaking out for some reason other than me being on my period (tmi I know.) This has cleared up any pimple that I’ve had, and it also has helped prevent future breakouts.
I think I save the best for last, the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask is seriously the best face mask I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried a few.) I use this with Raw Apple Cider Vinegar but you can also use water. I make a thick paste and apply to the areas that really need it. Once it starts to dry you can literally feel your skin pulsating and tightening.
If you have sensitive skin I recommend leaving on for 15 mins or less because it could irritate the skin.
I use this once a week, leaving it on for 30 minutes.
So these are my skincare favorites, what are some of yours? Have you tried any of the products I mentioned?
